Onion Samosa Recipe
Prep Time – 20-25 mins | Cook Time – 15-20 mins | Servings – 10-12 samosas

Ingredients
For the Dough
- 1 cup Mohini Bhog Aata
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- Water as required
For the Filling
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp green chillies, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- ½ tbsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 tbsp garam masala
Directions
- In a bowl, mix Mohini Bhog Aata, oil, salt, and water to form a stiff dough. Cover and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté sliced onions and green chillies until soft.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala to the onions. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in chopped coriander leaves and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- Divide dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle.
- Cut each circle into two halves. Shape each half into a cone and fill with onion mixture.
- Seal the edges with water and press gently to close the samosa.
- Heat oil for deep frying in a pan. Fry samosas on medium flame until golden and crisp.
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with chutney or sauce.

- Ensure the dough is stiff for easy shaping.
- Do not overfill samosas to prevent bursting during frying.
